WebP, up to 20 MB, 8,192 px per side, and 16 megapixels. Processing stays in this browser tab.

Private by default

This tool processes your input in the current browser tab and does not upload it for processing.

How to convert WebP to PNG

Choose a .webp file, press Convert to PNG, inspect the result, and download the generated PNG.

When to use PNG output

PNG is useful when an editor, publishing system, or older workflow does not accept WebP. Expect photographic PNG files to be larger.

Privacy and limits

The selected image is decoded and rendered inside the current browser tab. MyTool0 does not upload the source file or generated result. A temporary object URL is used for previews and released when the file or result changes. Inputs are limited to 20 MB, 8,192 pixels per side, and 16 megapixels. Animated WebP inputs are rejected because PNG output would otherwise preserve only one frame without warning. Invalid extensions, MIME types, and file signatures are rejected.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does PNG preserve WebP transparency?

Yes. Transparent pixels are retained when the source WebP contains an alpha channel.

Why can the PNG be much larger?

PNG is lossless and may require more bytes than a lossy WebP source, especially for photographs.

Is the WebP uploaded?

No. The browser decodes and exports the image locally.
