How to convert text case

Paste text into the editor, choose a conversion mode, and copy the result. The output updates as you type, so you can switch between writing styles and code-friendly identifier styles without submitting a form.

For paragraphs, use lowercase, uppercase, sentence case, title case, or capitalized words. For filenames, CSS classes, API fields, and variables, use camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, or CONSTANT_CASE.

Text case vs identifier case

Text case modes preserve punctuation and spacing because they are meant for natural writing. Identifier modes rebuild the text from word tokens, so spaces and punctuation are replaced with the separators required by the selected style.

For example, API response-code v2 can become apiResponseCodeV2, api_response_code_v2, or API_RESPONSE_CODE_V2 depending on the target format.

Practical tips

  • Use sentence case for plain UI messages and descriptions.
  • Use title case for short headings only when that matches your style guide.
  • Use kebab-case for URL slugs and many file names.
  • Use snake_case or CONSTANT_CASE when matching codebase conventions.

Privacy and limits

All conversion happens inside the current browser tab. MyTool0 does not upload your pasted text, converted result, clipboard content, or complete identifiers.

The converter is intended for short and medium text snippets, headings, product copy, labels, and code identifiers. Very large documents may be easier to edit in a dedicated editor.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Which case formats are supported?

The tool supports lowercase, uppercase, sentence case, title case, capitalized words, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case, and CONSTANT_CASE.

Can this convert variable names and headings?

Yes. Identifier modes split spaces, punctuation, hyphens, underscores, camelCase, and common acronym boundaries before building the target case.

Is the converted text sent anywhere?

No. Conversion happens locally in your browser, and the raw text or output is not sent to analytics.
