Rotate & Flip Image

Compose 90-degree rotations and horizontal or vertical flips in order, preview the result, and export locally.

Static PNG, JPG, or WebP up to 20 MB, 8,192 px per side, and 16 megapixels.

Private by default

This tool processes your input in the current browser tab and does not upload it for processing.

Rotate and flip in sequence

Choose a supported image, add clockwise quarter-turns or horizontal and vertical flips in the order you want, then generate a preview. The exported file is the same processed result shown in that preview.

Orientation and format

EXIF orientation metadata is applied before your transformations, so the controls operate on the image as it is displayed. PNG and WebP keep transparency when the selected output format supports it; JPEG uses a white background where transparency cannot be represented.

Browsers differ in their handling of WebP EXIF orientation. The workspace uses the dimensions and orientation actually decoded by your browser, keeping its preview and downloaded pixels consistent.

Privacy and limits

Processing remains local and retains the standard image file, dimension, animation, cancellation, and output-signature safeguards.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does operation order matter?

Yes. A rotation followed by a flip can produce a different result from the same flip followed by the rotation, so the tool preserves click order.

Does rotating change image dimensions?

A 90-degree or 270-degree turn swaps width and height. Two or four quarter turns restore the original orientation dimensions.

Are images uploaded?

No. Validation, orientation handling, transforms, preview, and export remain in the browser.
