Private by default

This tool processes your input in the current browser tab and does not upload it for processing.

How to use the Unix timestamp converter

Choose the input type, then paste a Unix timestamp or date. The result shows Unix seconds, Unix milliseconds, UTC ISO time, and your browser’s local time display together.

Use Current time when you need a fresh timestamp for logs, fixtures, or API testing.

Seconds, milliseconds, and dates

  • Unix seconds count whole seconds since 1970-01-01T00:00:00Z.
  • Unix milliseconds count milliseconds since the same epoch and preserve sub-second detail.
  • ISO datetime input is parsed as a date and converted to both timestamp forms.
  • Local time is displayed for convenience, but UTC ISO is the safest value for sharing across systems.

Privacy and limits

Timestamp values stay in the current browser tab. MyTool0 does not upload the input date or copied result.

Invalid numbers, impossible calendar dates, and values outside the browser-supported date range produce a recoverable error instead of a misleading conversion.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Does this use my local timezone?

The UTC ISO value is timezone-independent. The local time display uses the timezone reported by your browser.

Should I enter seconds or milliseconds?

Choose the matching input mode. Unix seconds are 10 digits around current dates, while Unix milliseconds are usually 13 digits.

Can this convert leap-day dates?

Yes. Real calendar dates such as 2024-02-29 are accepted, while impossible dates are rejected.
