Split PDF Pages

Choose page ranges in any order or define non-overlapping groups, then export PDFs locally without uploading documents.

All processing remains in this browser. Signed, encrypted and interactive PDFs are not modified. Large jobs may be rejected by the safety budget.

Private by default

This tool processes your input in the current browser tab and does not upload it for processing.

Extract exactly the pages you need

Add one supported PDF document and choose Extract. Enter page numbers separated by commas or ascending ranges. The initial selection contains all pages. Entering 3,1-2 deliberately preserves the order 3,1,2, instead of sorting it.

Split into separate files

Choose the group mode to enter one non-overlapping selection per line. For example, 1-2 on the first line and 4,3 on the second line produces two PDFs. When there are multiple outputs, the site creates a local ZIP download with deterministic names such as split-001.pdf and split-002.pdf.

What happens to PDF quality?

Ordinary text and vector drawings are copied as PDF content, not rendered to screenshots. Existing page geometry and rotation remain. Unsupported PDF actions, forms, encryption, signatures, annotations and damaged structures are refused before modification.

Local processing, limits and cancellation

The browser applies combined input, output, decoded-stream and working-memory budgets and may reject a job below the maximum raw file-size limit. Cancelling or changing options invalidates previous downloads. No account or payment is required.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can I extract pages out of their original order?

Yes. The page expression 3,1-2 produces pages 3,1,2 in that order, without flattening the PDF.

How can I create more than one PDF from a document?

Choose the group mode and put each desired page selection on a separate line. The separate files download together in a ZIP archive.

Can groups contain the same page twice?

No. Repeated pages within a selection and overlaps between groups are rejected rather than silently discarded.

Do I have to create an account or upload my files?

No. Supported static PDFs are processed inside the browser without an account or document upload.
