Merge PDF Files

Reorder documents and merge their pages into a downloadable PDF using private browser-only processing.

Free browser-only processing. Up to 20 MiB per file, 40 MiB combined, 200 pages and 32 MiB output. Large jobs can be rejected earlier by a separate memory safety budget. Encrypted, signed or interactive PDFs are unsupported.

Private by default

This tool processes your input in the current browser tab and does not upload it for processing.

How to merge PDF files

Choose two or more PDF documents. The files will appear in the order they were selected. Use the Move up and Move down buttons if needed, then select Merge PDFs. After the browser checks the inputs and assembles the pages, download merged.pdf. There is no account, payment or server-side upload step.

Page order and output quality

Pages follow the displayed document order. For example, adding a two-page document before a three-page document yields five pages, with all pages from the first file before all pages from the second. The tool copies supported PDF page content rather than flattening each page to an image; ordinary selectable text, vector strokes, rotation and page sizes remain intact.

Supported files and safety limits

The tool accepts well-formed static PDFs up to 20 MiB per file and 40 MiB for combined input. A merge uses at most 200 total pages and produces at most 32 MiB of output. If a file has encryption, signatures, annotations, scripts, forms, damaged structures or unsupported PDF features, the tool rejects it before editing to avoid misrepresenting its output. Some otherwise valid PDFs may be rejected because conservative security rules prioritize predictable results.

Privacy and recovery

Your files remain in the browser tab. Processing can be canceled, inputs can be changed, and a failed merge does not produce a partial success download. For large documents, try fewer files or smaller input files. This browser-local workflow is not an archival or universal PDF-preservation guarantee.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you upload my PDF documents to a server?

No. The tool reads, checks, combines and prepares files locally in your current browser. It does not send document contents to the website server.

Can I change the order of the documents?

Yes. Use Move up and Move down before merging; pages in each document retain their original order.

Will existing text and vector shapes remain editable or selectable?

Ordinary supported PDF pages are copied without converting them into screenshots, preserving their text and vector drawing content.

Can I merge encrypted or digitally signed PDFs?

No. Password-protected, signed and interactive PDFs are rejected rather than silently losing protection or form features.

Is there a free file count or download limit?

Ordinary merging and downloading are free. Safety limits currently allow 20 MiB per PDF, 40 MiB combined input, 200 input pages and 32 MiB output.
