Use date difference for calendar dates

Date Difference Calculator takes two dates without clock times and reports the elapsed calendar difference and total days. From2024-02-28 to 2024-03-01, the result is 2 elapsed days because 2024 includes February 29. Reversing the inputs keeps the magnitude and marks the direction as backward.

Elapsed days do not count both endpoints as separate included days. If a policy asks for an inclusive count, state that rule explicitly and calculate it separately; this tool does not offer an inclusive-day switch.

Use time duration for clock times

Time Duration Calculator takes 24-hourHH:MM inputs. 09:30 to 17:45 is8 hours 15 minutes. For 22:30 to 01:15, turn on its overnight option first; the result is 2 hours 45 minutes. Without that option, an end time earlier than the start is rejected rather than silently interpreted as tomorrow.

Equal start and end times mean zero minutes with the overnight option off, or a full 24 hours with it on. The tool works from clock times, not dated timestamps, so it does not model time zones or daylight-saving transitions.

Use age for a birthday question

If you need a person's completed years, months, and days on a comparison date, useAge Calculator. Its birthday rules answer a different question from a general date span. Check the input dates and the stated leap-day rule when the result has a formal use.
